It's kind of incredible how easy Google makes it to start your own blog.

But is it too easy?

I don't mean that it should be harder or less user-friendly, just that the ease means that people can launch into the sphere without giving it much thought—as I just did!

I was trying to figure out if Blogger is ad-supported, because I was writing someone an email saying that it was. Fact-checking is what we magazine journalists call it.

But it was literally easier to jump through three hoops and start my own blog than it was to find someone else's on here.

Or so it seemed. Maybe I'm kidding myself, and the truth is that I subliminally wanted to do this all along.

I guess we'll find out when I either (a) turn this into an outlet for all my stray thoughts or (b) never login here again.

Any bets?
